Happy Friday Everyone! I am sure many of you are enjoying a long weekend coming up full of fun in the sun and BBQs. I want to remind you to help make your cookouts healthy by bringing healthy side dishes (check previous recipes for some great ideas) and choosing hydrating beverages. If you are having a get-together this weekend, make this lovely drink as an alternative to plain water. It will be a hit! You can choose to make it sparkling by adding sparkling water or keep it flat by making it with plain water.
“Mojitos” with a Twist ~ Alcohol free fresh cocktail to serve at picnics
1 bunch of mint leaves
½ lemon cut into slices
2 lime cut into slices
1 inch of ginger root, peeled
1 inch of cucumber, sliced
1 pitcher of water or sparkling
Directions:
Add all the ingredients to the water and let sit in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving. You can refill the water without changing the ingredients for about 2 days.
