This is a great workout for all of those who are looking to shed a little fat and replace it with lean muscle mass. You’ll work your full body and cardiovascular system all in one! If you are running out of workout routines to try, this workout will give you a very simple structure that you can easily modify with easier or harder exercises to meet where you are at and maximize your fitness progression. Warm-Up:
Jump Rope – 3 min
Row Machine – 2 min
Jumping jacks – 1 min
Workout: Complete each exercise in the circuit at a weight where you can complete 10-12 reps. Complete each circuit 2-3 times through with minimal rest. Rest for 1 minute before moving on to the cardio exercise and the next circuit.
Circuit 1:
Barbell Squats
Dumbell bench press on stability ball
Bent over row
Cardio 1: 1 minute battle ropes
Circuit 2:
Dumbell step-ups
Dumbell shoulder press
Pull-up/Assisted pull up
Cardio 2: 1 minute sumo squat jumping jacks
Circuit 3:
Stability ball hamstring curl
Dumbell triceps kickbacks
Biceps curls
Finish off your workout with a little cardio kick on the row machine by completing 4 sets of 250m sprints with 30s rest in between.
Cool down and stretch!
